This is a poem written quite some time ago pertaining to the battle between our souls and our bodies: The soul is subject to the flesh difficult to escape its influence The price we pay for a few bites of forbidden fruit Regret is now a part of our lives guilt a mainstay Over things better left unsaid actions better left undone Sin continually dangling that tempting piece of delicious fruit Oh yes, it tastes good, feels good ahhhh...but the price, the pain It is not worth it but our flesh remains unconvinced Striving for that bit of pleasure that bit of death A battleground upon which God and satan continue to struggle our free will, the tiebreaker Trackback(0)
