Editor's description: The very kind owner of this site informed me of Necromance.  They are a Goth band that pushes back into the early style of bands like Bauhaus and London After Midnight while also experimenting with abstract almost industrial sounds implemented in many of their songs. Some songs are sung in German, with the majority in English.
I was intrigued by their more aggressive tunes that sounded a lot like some of the German death metal bands that I've been listening to on and off for the past few weeks. Necromance utilizes the guitar rather often, something that many Goth bands (non-mainstream) these days try to stay away from. While this used to be considered "overdone", it is refreshing to hear the riffs implemented once more. Some of the quality on the songs could use some work. It is good enough for you to realize how much potential the band has, but lacking enough to warrant only an occasional spin in the cd player.
That is pretty sad because given the right attention, these songs would be instant hits with many Goths looking for an old style flavor. On the other hand... i am somewhat of an artist myself and understand the anguish of trying to get things to sound "just right" and can appreciate what they have done. I also enjoy a lot of lo-fi industrial, maybe lo-fi Goth should be added to my musical diet.
Bottom line, check out White Gothic and Tribulation Force albums and  look for really good things coming from this band in the future if any more releases are given to us.
