You have come to this page, probably because you are a Christian yourself and wanted to see how a Christian could possibily be Goth. I commend you for that because not many Christians do take the time to find out.

In short, a Christian Goth is just a Christian who happens to have a Goth outlook on life. I will not get into that outlook here, but rather focus on the spritual side of us.

What we believe:

  • We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Light, and that no-one comes to the Father except by Him (John 14:6)
  • We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (Luke 4:41, John 1:34, John 1:49, 1 John 4:15)
  • We believe that Jesus was Crucified to atone for our sins. (Acts 5:31, Acts 10:43, Acts 13:38, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:22)
  • We believe that all humans are sinful and we need forgiveness of these sins though Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23-26)
  • We believe that the only acceptable paranormal phenomenae are those performed by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 10:45, 1 Corinthians 1-11, 1 John 4:1-3)
  • We do not engage in magick, witchcraft or anything of the like (Acts 8:9-24, Galatians 5:19-21)
  • The blood of Christ is the only blood to drink (Acts 15:20, Luke 22:20, John 6:54-56)

Christian Goths and death.

You have probably heard that Goths are obsessed by death. In short, that is not true. It is true that SOME Goths are obsessed by death, but it does not make one Goth.

  • Romans 6:4 shows us that if we believe in Jesus as the Son of God and we are baptized, that we too were raised from the dead. This means that we used to be dead to God but alive to the world, after we chose to live for Christ and got baptized, this changed completely, we are now dead to sin, but alive to God. (Romans 6:11, Colossians 2:12)
  • Christ is named the firstborn of the dead (1 Corinthians 15:20, Colossians 1:18)
  • We, just like many other (non-goth) Christians, look forward to the moment that we are being called home by God (2 Corintians 5:1-11) but since suicide is murder too (John 8:44), we will not take our own lives (1 Peter 4:15, 1 John 3:15, Revelations 21:8, Revelations 22:15).

So you see, for all intents and purposes, we are just Christians, but we happen to be Goth too. But we are Christians first and we will never let anyone or anything change that.
