I have embraced all that once
I feared, a foreboding blackened world as this
To learn the comfort in knowing that within me, there is darkness.
However this, not all darkness
is of the evil one, and in it, I found bliss
To know that as I am, that God did call me to behold His brightness.
I can fully embrace the facets
of my humanity as they all cry out toward the door
That this dark and melancholy spirit has found that it is just that, it
is poor.
How happy am I that within this
hall of night, I have seen the bondage of death
Surrender all it had against my dieing body, and soon to be vanishing breath.
For in the black of night I have
found, that I am indeed that, black and dark
But He is not, for in Him there is no darkness, just the bright, to contrast
with my stark.
Humanity as it stands, is dark,
illuminated only by Heavens open gate
And just as I have found, those whom enter in, its His will, and not by
fate.
For night pre-existed before
the dawns first look, before its word was said
And in this void of night was God, from whence He brought the light, and
the stars were lead.
God is in the blackest night,
and in the darkest Blood stained heart.
Those creatures so despised by them, to Him He sees that they have known
their part.
They do embrace their death as
well, as the death of the One Whom He sent
They see they are misshapen and, all they are broken, bent.
And so this is the reason why,
perhaps they know all too well, just who and what they are
And this is what speaks forth, and what you see, ones who are dead to self,
who realise just What we are.
