The Awakening have announced that 2006 will celebrate their return to the international live music circuit and will see the release of the highly
anticipated 8th studio album!
The band have taken a break for the greater part of 2005 but are said to be "revitalized and desperately eager" to share their new album and live show with their global audience. The new album is currently in production and is scheduled to be released in June 2006! The band describe the future release as "dark and powerful, with a mercury-like fluidity and surreal optimism - the best Awakening album yet". More details, including the album's name, will be revealed in the not too distant future...
While we wait for the new album, download "Some Heroes" from http://www.awakening.co.za. "Some Heroes" is a previously unreleased track which was recorded between 'The Fourth Seal of Zeen' and 'Roadside Heretics' and is a gift from The Awakening to their fans.
There are rumours that yet another exclusive track will be available for download around Christmas time, so keep checking this site for details! Discuss this article on the forums. (0 posts)
